The Canton Group Signs New Three-Year Contract with USAID Office of Inspector General

The Canton Group has signed a new three-year contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development Office of Inspector General (USAID OIG), extending a partnership that goes back to 2017.

Under the new contract, The Canton Group will continue to maintain, secure, and evolve USAID OIG's Drupal website (https://oig.usaid.gov). What started as a migration to Drupal 8 nearly a decade ago has since gone through multiple major version upgrades, with the site now running on Drupal 10, with Drupal 11 preparation actively underway.

About USAID OIG

USAID OIG is an independent oversight body responsible for auditing and investigating U.S. foreign assistance programs. Its work spans across five agencies: USAID, the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), the U.S. African Development Foundation (USADF), the Inter-American Foundation (IAF), and the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC). OIG's reporting reaches agency leadership, Congress, and the public, and plays a direct role in how foreign assistance dollars are tracked and safeguarded through timely, relevant, and impactful oversight.

A Long-Term Partnership

Since 2017, Canton Group has supported USAID OIG well beyond the original website build, including ongoing security patching and vulnerability remediation, Section 508 and WCAG accessibility compliance, a full server migration to Microsoft Azure, Single Sign-On integration, Web Application Firewall (WAF) configuration, Infrastructure Rebuild, Log Ingestion, and continuous Authority to Operate (ATO) support. You can read more about the earlier phases of this work in our USAID OIG case study.

"USAID OIG has been a partner of ours for almost a decade now, and this new contract means a lot to us. We've grown alongside them, from that first website migration to becoming the team they count on to keep their systems secure and running, including through some genuinely uncertain times for the agency. That kind of trust is exactly what we want The Canton Group to be known for."

Ethan Kazi, CEO

This new contract adds to The Canton Group's growing track record with federal Inspector General offices, which also includes the U.S. Department of Transportation OIG. It's the kind of long-term, trust-based relationship the company continues to build with agency partners across Maryland and nationwide.
