The Canton Group Awarded Three-Year Contract to Support U.S. Department of Labor Office of Inspector General

The Canton Group has been awarded a three-year contract with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of Inspector General (DOL-OIG) to design, build, deploy and train agency staff on DOL-OIG's official Drupal-based public website platform.

The new platform will be built around DOL-OIG's distinct audiences. Congressional staff and oversight bodies need current audit recommendations, journalists need recent findings, other federal agencies need program-specific oversight material, and the public needs a clear way to report fraud, waste, and abuse. The site’s information architecture reflects each group's needs and how they interact with the website. Accessibility is built in from the start rather than added later, with the platform designed to meet Section 508, WCAG 2.1 AA, and ADA standards using Drupal's native accessibility foundation. Staff training pairs live, hands-on instruction with materials built specifically around DOL-OIG's own configuration of the platform, plus quick-reference guides and recorded sessions the agency can reuse when onboarding future staff.

About DOL-OIG

The Department of Labor Office of Inspector General (https://www.oig.dol.gov) is the independent oversight arm of the U.S. Department of Labor. It audits and investigates the effectiveness, efficiency, and integrity of DOL’s programs and operations, covering areas like unemployment insurance, worker protection, job training, and mine safety. DOL-OIG also leads criminal investigations into labor racketeering and organized crime within the nation’s labor unions. DOL-OIG reports findings to the Secretary of Labor and Congress.
